A great opportunity to join a busy supply chain team, as a Buyer based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
As the Buyer within this global business, you will be self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic, have experience of MRP systems and strong negotiation skills.
Duties include:
- Interpreting MRP reports and raising purchase orders to support production and development
- Expediting
- Working with the supply base to ensure on time delivery and quality targets are met
- Sourcing and supplier selection
- Negotiating best value for money solutions
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers
Ideally your buying/procurement experience will be in a manufacturing environment.
You will have experience in procurement and manufacturing techniques along with an understanding of technical drawings.
CIPS Level 3 or 4 would be beneficial.
Experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required as well as good administration skills.
A can-do/pro-active approach is essential for this role as is the ability to identify solutions to problems.
