We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Lead to join a PE-Backed Education Group based in London on a 3 month interim contract. This role is designed to strengthen financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making during a critical period of organisational growth and development. The role is paying £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, you will be expected to be onsite on a hybrid basis.

A London based organisation operating in the education space, focused on helping individuals improve outcomes through tailored learning. Rather than purely academic theory, they emphasise real-world application, measurable outcomes, and alignment with industry needs. This often includes areas like leadership development, financial and operational capability, and strategic planning support.

Financial Planning Lead:

  • Lead the end-to-end financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to support key business decisions.
  • Review and enhance existing financial models.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational priorities.
  • Deliver clear, reporting and performance analysis.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Support where required with month end duties.

Financial Planning Lead:

  • Ideally, you will be CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA), CGMA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, FP&A, or similar leadership roles.
  • Ideally you will have worked within a fee-paying school or a multi-academy trust setting.
  • Consolidation of accounts and international experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills with advanced Excel (or equivalent tools).
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced or evolving environments is highly desirable.

Financial Planning Lead:

  • £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (day rate inside of IR35 could be considered).
  • 3 month contract (possible extension).
  • Hybrid working.
  • London based office.
