EA First are partnering exclusively with a highly regarded business based in Cambridge, to support their search for a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a great opportunity for those looking to progress into a senior role within Accounts Payable.

You will be reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working model meaning that will require the successful candidate will need to be in the Cambridge office 2 days per week.

The Senior Accounts Payable role is to be responsible for purchase ledger transactions as well as bank reconciliations and general accounts admin.

Working within the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Processing supplier invoices - including correct accuracy & authorisation.
  • Logging invoices correctly and chasing any non-returned invoices.
  • Ensuring accurate and on time payment of supplier accounts and invoices.
  • Reconciling statements to Accounts Payable accounts.
  • Dealing with and answering supplier queries professionally.
  • Ensuring payments are recorded accurately.
  • Providing cover for other team members at times of holidays, sickness or busy periods when asked by the Accounts Payable Manager.

The ideal Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
  • Being able to work efficiently and effectively whilst meeting deadlines
  • A good level of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • A good level of written and spoken English.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Previous experience with Oracle is an advantage however not compulsory.
