Are you an experienced audit professional with a passion for charities and not-for-profits? This is your opportunity to join a long-established, purpose-driven firm and take real ownership of a growing specialism in a flexible and supportive environment.

Our client is a trusted, independent accountancy firm with deep regional roots and a strong reputation for supporting businesses, charities, and individuals through expert, personalised advice.

Now they are looking for a talented Corporate Services Assistant Manager to lead on audit, accounts, and tax services for a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. These include religious organisations, churches, sports clubs, grant-giving bodies, first responders, and specialist care charities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and review year-end accounts, audits, and independent examinations for a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients.
  • Supervise junior staff, ensuring high-quality, technically accurate work and providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Prepare and review corporation tax computations, Gift Aid claims, and statutory filings.
  • Manage client relationships, budgets, and delivery timelines with clear, proactive communication.
  • Contribute to internal projects including a charity software changeover and development of team processes.
  • Support business development, team training, and the ongoing growth of the charity and NFP specialism.

About You:

The role is ideal for someone who is confident managing day-to-day responsibilities independently but wants to be part of something bigger - helping to grow and shape their charity and NFP practice under the leadership of a specialist Associate Director.

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong relevant experience).
  • Strong experience in charities and not-for-profits (audit, accounts, or tax).
  • Good working knowledge of charity SORP, independent examinations, and charity governance.
  • Confident managing multiple assignments and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong communicator with a client-first approach.
  • Motivated to take ownership of the role and help shape the future of the charity specialism.
  • Willing to travel on occasion - though the majority of work is remote.

Why Join Them?

  • Make an impact - take ownership of a growing area of the firm.
  • Meaningful work - support organisations doing real good in the world.
  • Supportive leadership - report directly to a charity lead.

Package: Competitive salary + benefits | Flexible/remote working | Career progression
