Our client is seeking an experienced and business oriented Automation Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of highly complex logistic process automation and storage projects for the continued expansion of our EU fulfillment network.

A highly successful global logistics and supply chain business which is considered, "Best in Class" by many industry leaders.

  • End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects
  • Lead critical path items, dive deep on technical details and provide innovative solutions to resolve issues
  • Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams and leadership
  • Work very closely with Construction/Real Estate, IT and Operation from project start to go live
  • Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors to plan and track deliverables
  • Create, submit and track the relevant CAPEX documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
  • Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and global design standards
  • Assist in engineering capacity management for EU
  • Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners for best value and competition
  • Coordinate information between various teams in the organization

  • Strong knowledge about automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
  • Experience with process design based on Lean Principles
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational as well as reliability and maintenance processes including relevant software tool
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven technical leadership and project management experience in development and implementation of large scale and complex engineering projects
  • Experience of leading internal teams and management of vendor relations
  • Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and related software
