The key responsibilities of the Automation Projects Team Leader are as follows.
- Contribute to and assume accountability for the successful execution of automation projects within the National Supply Chain Management Department, maintaining adherence to project governance.
- Analyse packaging requirements and interpret data to evaluate the current packaging status, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to assess readiness for automation.
- Organise and execute supplier communication plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure timely and accurate information is shared with key stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for end-to-end project completion, streamlining processes and operations to enhance efficiency.
- Manage multiple logistics projects and tasks related to automation, including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the processing and tracking of project action items and milestones.
- Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure the confidentiality of correspondence when required.
- Efficiently manage the flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with internal and external parties.
- Maintain a clear understanding of current actions and take appropriate measures as needed.
- Provide support for the implementation of departmental strategy as necessary.
- Demonstrate an advanced proficiency in MS Tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project.
- Contribute positively and constructively to the Future Logistics Network Team.
The successful candidate with have the following experience, skills and qualifications for the role.
- Confidence and the capacity to communicate effectively with colleagues at all organisational level.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the aptitude to establish productive relationships with colleagues across all business tiers
- Prior experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Projects.
- Familiarity with Material Handling equipment projects.
- Competence in Project Management.
- Proficiency in Stakeholder Management.
- Proficiency in Risk and Issue Management.
- Adeptness in Project Planning.
- Track record of delivering substantial cross-functional projects.
- Competency in managing and coordinating inter-project dependencies to execute a program of change.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Exceptional time management abilities, coupled with the capability to maintain organisation in a fast-paced environment.
- Skill in accurately analysing and interpreting data.
- Experience in automated warehousing, with a broader understanding of Project Management and Logistics (Desirable).
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies (Desirable)
