As Senior Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving business growth and profitability.

This role will be focused around creating opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and tailoring consultancy solutions to transform supply chain operations on behalf of their customers.

They have a strong multi-sector industry focus on Consumer Products & Retail, as well Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences.

The Senior Business Development Manager will be the Sales lead for the consultancy division and will focus on specific target sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, Tech and Manufacturing.

You will work closely with Regional leadership teams in the development and growth of a newly created practice division.

You will ensure that the sector growth targets are understood, communicated and that a strategy and plan is in place to deliver them. You will act as ambassadors for the wider business in a hugely competitive marketplace and develop long term, strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be accountable for the delivery of growth targets in line with the corporate plan
  • Create, maintain, and continually develop a strategy that defines which customers which markets and which services we will target to expand our business
  • Create a sales plan to deliver Consultancy strategy
  • Be accountable for the delivery of aspects of sector mapping, research, opportunity identification and development
  • Be accountable for your pipeline commitment and support wider team
  • Be accountable for the development and presentation of bids to the point of decision and then lead the commercial negotiations whilst maximising value and opportunity and ensuring new business meets our profitability targets
  • Develop and own new customer relationships for all potential new business
  • Own strategic customer relationships with current customers as appropriate and in particular for existing customers where there are new services or territories that we wish to grow with that customer
  • Support and execution of propositions appropriate to the sector

An experienced leader in business development or sales with a proven track record in winning significant supply chain consulting engagements. You will have broad consulting sector understanding, a recognised network within the consulting client marketplace, and the ability to develop new relationships at all levels.

  • Self-starting with a strong worth ethic, entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously.
  • Operating effectively in a matrix organisation with the ability to prioritise and make decisions, managing ambiguity with a high level of comfort
  • Complex project management with the ability to multi-task and drive advanced strategic analysis and leverage results for impact
  • Working closely with regional leadership teams to align regional and topic / sector priorities; exchange on content and client activities and help drive broader network and product / service portfolio and supporting knowledge management.
  • Executing budget monitoring; managing the advancement and commercialisation of the topic / sector, supporting road shows or client events where necessary; tracking impact
  • Leading others, including senior business leaders in clarifying problems and developing solutions by building cross-topic/sector partnerships - building consensus, persuading and influencing.
