A leading global organisation is seeking a talented english speaking Cybersecurity Advisor to join their Global Cybersecurity function. This role will based out of the Madird central office.
The Cybersecurity Advisor will work closely with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to information, IT, and data security. This role will contribute to the development and testing of robust security solutions, ensuring the organisation's digital assets are protected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity implications for business objectives.
- Manage cybersecurity requirements throughout the project lifecycle, aligning with solution development and testing.
- Provide expert advice on security best practices for infrastructure, applications, and cloud instances.
- Support application and cloud solution reviews, as well as 3rd party assessments.
- Stay informed about new market initiatives and frameworks to provide valuable input to architecture functions.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have solid experience or a strong working knowledge of diverse security solutions.
- Proficiency in conducting threat-modelling exercises for new applications and services.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in both technical and business contexts.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional cybersecurity experience.
- Experience in designing application and infrastructure deployments, including public cloud services, is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge across various IT domains, such as applications, databases, operating systems, IP networks, and storage networks, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with architecture methodologies (e.g., SABSA, Zachman, TOGAF) and professional certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA) are desirable.
- Additional experience in security and compliance is advantageous.
