This global organisation is currently seeking a highly skilled English speaking Cybersecurity Architect to join their team
This role will be based out the Madrid Central Hub
The Cybersecurity Architect will report directly to the Global Director of Cybersecurity and work closely with the Cybersecurity team and colleagues across the organisation. This is a permanent position with opportunities for career advancement. As part of an exciting transformation program, the organisation aims to become a digital strategic partner for their customers. In this role, the Cybersecurity Architect will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the organisation's cybersecurity strategy.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Developing and maintaining security architecture processes to address business and technology threats.
- Contributing to the development of security strategy plans and road maps.
- Creating and managing security architecture models, standards, and procedures.
- Defining baseline security configuration standards for systems, networks, infrastructure, and applications.
- Collaborating with global teams to enhance security measures and mitigate risks in IT infrastructure.
- Evaluating security technologies and tools, and providing recommendations based on security metrics.
- Conducting security assessments of vendors and ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Offering guidance and support to colleagues on best practices and the security implications of projects and technologies.
Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, and experience:
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong focus on architecture.
- Certification in architecture methodologies and relevant professional certifications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001/27002.
- Practical knowledge of security infrastructure management, including firewalls, IPSs, WAFs, and SIEM systems.
- Demonstrable expertise in conducting threat modelling exercises for new applications and services.
- Experience in designing secure deployments in public cloud services.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and storage.
- Working knowledge of IT service management practices, such as ITIL/ITSM.
- Excellent communication skills in business English, both written and verbal.
