We are recruiting for a Deputy Operations Manager to join a busy team in Waterbeach, Cambridge.
This is a great chance to join a fast-paced production team with excellent opportunities to gain experience and develop into the photography industry.
The role will be to ensure all aspects of the production team are running smoothly including the editing team and photography suite.
This will suit a pro-active individual with previous operational management experience preferably within production or photography.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Production
- Develop the production operation ensuring the editing, printing and packing is complete
- Assist and support the Operations Manager with all parts of production
- Generate and analyse performance reports on production
People & Development
- Manage, train and coach the editing and photo suite team
- Conduct weekly team meetings
- Conduct performance review meetings
Strategy & Planning
- Ensure production process is cost effective and of a high quality
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to
Photography
- Offer input on product design and practices
- Recruit and train Photographers
- Ensure all operational teams have the right balance of skills and experience
The ideal candidate for the role will have:
- Previous experience of managing a production environment (essential)
- Previous experience training, coaching and mentoring individuals
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- High standard of attention to detail and eye for quality standards
- Previous experience of offering solutions and innovative ideas
- Excellent planning and delegation skills
- Excellent level of computer literacy
- Previous experience of working within a Photography production environment (desirable)
- Previous experience of Phoenix (desirable)

Salary:
Up to £45,000
Hours:
Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.15pm
(36.25 hours per week)
