It is expected that all Electrical Maintenance Engineers will possess proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations.

  • Ensuring operational and up to date maintenance of high volume electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Timely response to breakdowns of production equipment in accordance with the production hours.
  • Ensure records of all maintenance work, defect repair and on site spares are up to date.
  • Assist in the supervision and control of all site based mechanical and electrical operations.
  • Engage and manage contractors including obtaining/providing permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Adhere to strict Health and Safety policies.
  • Assist/manage depot projects.
  • Provide technical training where required.

The successful candidate of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Cumbria would have the following.

  • Good diagnostic, Problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Level 3 qualification in mechanical, electrical or engineering
  • Programmable Logic Controllers Qualification
  • Health and Safety Qualification
  • BS7671 18th Edition
  • Experience working with Continuous Improvement methodology i.e. Lean, Six Sigma,5S
  • Understanding of H&S policy and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
  • Educated to GCSE level C or above in Maths and English
