My client is a leading global assurance provider who specialise in certification, business assurance, cybersecurity and inspection.

They are currently recruiting for a Export Control Manager to ensure that the company's operations related to inspection of equipment used in nuclear power stations comply with all relevant export control regulations.

My client is a leading global assurance provider who specialise in certification, business assurance, cybersecurity and inspection. The business serve a wide variety of industries, from food, beverage and hospitality to automotive, aerospace, transportation and energy.

The Export Control Manager will ensure that the company's operations related to inspection of equipment used in nuclear power stations, across multiple countries comply with all relevant export control regulations. The role is responsible for managing and obtaining the necessary export licenses and authorisations, as well as assessing documents and applying export control codes to ensure document distribution is in compliance with export laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the technical and administrative teams to support document coding, coordination, and distribution of documentation subject to export control restrictions, and ensure compliance with export control requirements outlined within the company's Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant export control regulations across multiple countries.
  • Identify and assess the need for export licences and authorisations for the company's operations related to inspection of equipment used in nuclear power stations.
  • Apply for and obtain necessary export licences and authorisations for the company's operations in various countries.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to export licences and compliance with export control regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on export control regulations and compliance.
  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to export control compliance.
  • Work closely with the technical and administrative teams to support document coding, coordination, and distribution of documentation subject to export control restrictions.
  • Ensure that all documents subject to export control restrictions are properly coded and distributed in compliance with export laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and implement export control requirements outlined within the company's Quality Management System.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in export control regulations and requirements in the relevant countries and ensure that the company's operations remain in compliance with all applicable regulations.

The Export Control Manager will

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Relations or related field
  • Experience of working within Defence, Aerospace or Nuclear Energy - advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in export compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or technology company
  • Strong knowledge of US and international export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC restrictions
  • Experience with export compliance software, tools and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills

£65,000 + incredibly competitive benefits package which includes employer pension contribution of up to 15%.

Remote role with an expectation to travel where necessary.
