I am currently supporting a Not-for-Profit organisation in Rugby to recruit a Finance Business Partner. It is a very attractive time to join this organisation as they begin to grow, they are looking for someone to join the finance team to drive commercial value and support their ambitious aims. This role is paying up to £50,000 per annum.
My Not-for-Profit client is a c£3m turnover organisation who have recently acquired a new CFO who has been tasked to drive commerciality across the organisation. They have identified the need for a Finance Business Partner to support with the growth of the organisaton.
The organisation is based in Rugby.
Finance Business Partner:
- Dedicated finance business partner to support the commercial business and subsidiary companies.
- Ensure that revenue from both existing and emerging services is correctly treated and recognised.
- Work with the relevant CEO and business managers to correctly price new revenue streams.
- Ensure that the monthly management accounts pack is prepared on an accurate and timely basis which includes the:
- Preparation and inputting of all journals.
- Production and initial review of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow for presentation to the Finance Manager.
- Undertake and prepare an analysis of key variances and deal with specific ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Undertaking finance reviews with budget holders.
- Undertake balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure that relevant updates to cashflow are undertaken on a timely basis.
- Ensure that the preparation of the budget and quarterly reforecasts for relevant business areas is undertaken as required - including liaison with budget holders.
- Preparation for the annual audit and answering auditor's queries.
- Identifying and supporting business change to improve financial effectiveness - e.g system and process changes.
- Promoting Finance to other departments to aid their understanding.
- Covering Finance Manager duties when needed.
- Supporting other Finance Team members with all areas of the Finance function.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the line manager.
Finance Business Partner:
- CCAB Qualified, Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience will be considered
- At least 3 years' experience completing a similar Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner position
- Ability to engage with challenging stakeholders
- Comfortable to complete 'hands on' accountancy duties
- Confidence to challenge business decisions
- Proven examples adding commercial value to an organisation
£45,000 - £50,000
25 days annual leave, plus public holidays
Agile working can be discussed, however in the initial few weeks during the training period, on-site full time will be required
