We're working with a recognisable organisation based in central Cambridge as they look to recruit a Finance Manager.
This role offers a variety of tasks from delivering high quality financial reports, advising stakeholders on financial impacts while taking responsibility the full accounts cycle with junior members of the team.
You'll ensure deadlines are met as you support the Director of Finance in ad-hoc tasks and play a key link to the wider organisation helping department heads to build budgets which collectively amount to the annual budget. This is a visible role and as such you will be wearing many hats depending on the time of year and needs of the organisation whether is supporting audit preparation, improving month end cycles and reviewing contracts alongside the wider legal team to maintain compliance regulations.
The successful applicant will hold an accounting qualification and come from a background of both financial and management accounting. You'll need management experience with the ability to get the best out of individuals especially within a fluid working environment where communication is critical. This role suits someone who is looking for exposure to several stakeholders, perhaps not getting fulfilment from their current 'run of the mill' finance role and looking for a varied position which will offer development.
Salary £40,000-£50,000
