My client an established services business is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function.
My client is an established and award winning services business with a host of key and well known clients as its customer base, operating from offices in City Centre Birmingham.
As Finance Manager reporting to the Head of Finance based at its Birmingham office you will:
- Be responsible for finance operations; including job costing, sales and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and credit control
- Own the deliverly of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate accruals, prepayments, journals as well as reconciliations
- Review and improve existing finance processes and controls
- Support with the production of VAT returns and other statutory submissions
- Assist in year-end audit preparation and delivery
- Manage, support and guide the Accounts Assistant
The ideal applicant for Finance Manager will:
- Either be a fully qualified or qualified by experiance accountant
- Have demonstrable experiance from practice (1st mover applications welcomed) or industry (ideally in a fast-paced or client-facing environment)
- Be confident working with Excel and finance systems ideally Sage 50
Up to £50,000 per annum plus benefits and 2 days per week working from the Birmingham office
