We are delighted to be partnering with a Not-for-Profit organisation to recruit a Finance Manager (Part Time, 22.5 hours) position in Birmingham. This role is paying £42,500-£44,500 per annum.
This Not-for-Profit is a £2.5m t/o charity with c30 employees. Their offices are based in the heart of Birmingham, close to local transport links.
Finance Manager (Part Time):
- Production of the annual statutory accounts, in line with charity (SORP) regulations.
- Leading on the external audit, liaising with the external auditors.
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Ensure invoices are billed in a timely manner, reconciling on a quarterly basis.
- Lead responsibility for all finance systems, policies and be the main contact to the finance systems provider.
- Ensure expenses and procurement run smoothly for the wider organisation.
- Supervise payroll, this will be managed and completed by the Finance Officer.
- Support with the preparation of the annual budget for board.
- Involvement with financial information for Trustee and Board Committee meetings.
- Present the financial position of the charity to the Director and to Senior Stakeholders.
- Ensure investment accounts and cashflow are managed and best returns are achieved.
- Review banking facilities regularly.
- Deputise for the Director when required.
- Line managing a Finance Officer.
- Adhere to the code of conduct, health & safety and equal opportunities policies.
Finance Manager (Part Time):
- CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) or CGMA/CIMA qualified (Part Qualified OR Qualified by Experience will be considered).
- Proven ability producing management and statutory accounts.
- Strong charity (SORP) regulation knowledge.
- It is essential you have liaise and been involved with external auditors.
- Proven experience overseeing payroll and reviewing work.
- Treasury management for an SME charity is advantageous.
- Ideally you will have people managed.
- You have prepared board papers for Board and Trustee Committee meetings.
- Ability to deputise for a Director is critical.
- A desirable would be grant funding knowledge.
- Ideally you will have a basic understanding of Procurement.

£42,500 - £44,500 FTE per annum
(£25,500 - £26,700 per annum actual)
22.5 hours per week
