We are delighted to be partnering with a Housing Association to recruit a Financial Planning Manager based in Hertfordshire. This role is paying up to £75,000 per annum.

As a Financial Planning Manager, your role is crucial for the long-term financial viability and strategic growth of the company. You will be responsible for effectively managing the corporate finance function within the scope of the business plan, overseeing funding capacity and treasury, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for the role:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Development Team to assess investments, ensuring they deliver the required financial returns and align with the overall Business Plan capacity.

  2. Manage the delivery of the Treasury Strategy, which includes handling funding, cash flow, and liquidity management.

  3. Ensure compliance with all covenant requirements and the Treasury Management Policy.

  4. Maintain a fully stress-tested Business Plan that reflects the Corporate Strategy and complies with internal financial health measures.

  5. Lead the production of all regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory contacts.

  6. Manage the asset portfolio, maximising value and implementing efficient charging processes.

  7. Operationally own the completion of all aspects of accounting for the development team.

  8. Manage a team of three colleagues as part of the corporate finance function.

  9. Act as a deputy for the Director in development and treasury matters during internal and external meetings and events.

  10. Prepare reports for board and other committee meetings.

Financial Business Planning:

  1. It is essential you are ACA, ACCA, CIMA/CGMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified (PQ will be considered).
  2. You should be collaborative, empowering, and engaging as a leader, displaying visibility, determination, and an open and honest approach.

  3. Detailed understanding of business planning processes.

  4. Good knowledge of treasury management and funding.

  5. Excellent proficiency in IT skills, which are essential for financial management and reporting.

  6. You must be a clear and persuasive communicator, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-finance colleagues effectively.

  7. Taking responsibility for making decisions to drive progress.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  1. Awareness of your own leadership style and the ability to adapt to get the best out of others.

  2. Previous experience in a housing association corporate finance function.

  3. Familiarity with the Brixx financial modelling software.

  4. Experience in raising finance for projects or investments.

Financial Planning Manager:
