We are currently supporting a Not-for-Profit in Birmingham to recruit Head of Financial Services. The role is offering up to £65,000 per annum, plus a very attractive holiday allowance and pension contribution.
This Not-for-Profit is based in the heart of Birmingham and offers support to people in over 120 different countries. They aim to provide an collaborative, ethical and inclusive environment to their staff.
Head of Financial Services:
- Provide strategic leadership to the Financial Operations team to ensure they deliver the best experience for our beneficiaries whilst mitigating operational risks.
- Act as a key business partner to the wider organisation, liaising with key stakeholders to understand how Financial Operations can best service each area of the business and it's subsidiaries.
- Manage and oversee both the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager, providing support to both teams.
- Design, develop, and manage systems to ensure effective and efficient processes to manage income and payment commitments.
- Develop and maintain appropriate controls and governance within operational finance to manage and mitigate risks to maintain the integrity of the financial transactions.
- Implement appropriate controls over cash processing in compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Ensure month-end activities are completed appropriately and in accordance with the agreed timelines.
- Perform regular customer service reviews and evaluate processes to identify potential efficiencies, effectiveness improvements and then drive improvements.
Head of Financial Services:
- Ideally you will hold a CCAB qualification or equivalent.
- Experience managing financial operations teams, accounts receivable and accounts payable gained at senior management level.
- Ability to evidence designing control-based finance processes to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Cashflow forecasting experience is essential.
- You must be able to lead a team and evidence working examples of strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders with a diverse array of competing demands and priorities.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Significant level of Financial System experience.
£55,000 - £65,000.
35 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
