They're looking for a Head of Logistics to lead and develop their warehousing and inventory operations with a focus on improving processes and systems whilst also developing the management team.

What you'll be doing as Head of Logistics:
- Working closely with the Supply Chain Director and the wider business to shape the company's strategic priorities within their supply chain
- Developing, standardising, and optimising operational processes across our DC's
- Playing a pivotal role as part of the Senior Supply Chain leadership team, shaping and developing our colleagues to deliver capability and opportunity
- Delivering the strategic priorities alongside the Supply Chain Team, and driving and measuring results
- Rapidly shaping thinking in new business areas by assessing risks, benefits, competitive dynamics and key commercial or operational levers
- Planning and delivering the implementation of robotics within our logistics networks
- Building consensus around new topics, working across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Delivering actionable, analytical insights to spark new ideas and assess existing ones and presenting these to all levels of seniority
- Developing, owning and accelerating new and innovative initiatives from inception to implementation to review
- Supporting cross-team project implementation over short and long time frames
To be successful in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- 4+ years' experience within an operational role, ideally at General Manager, Site Manager or Head of Logistics level
- Experience of working in 3PL, FMCG or Retail operations is advantageous
- IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications
- Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 methodologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP and SAP WMS
- Strong data analysis skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel (and/or SQL)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving capabilities, particularly contexts with loosely defined structure or scope
- A demonstrated ability to work across different functions and teams, delivering strong results through influence
- The ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task while working autonomously
- Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and life cycles
- Be local to Birmingham and the West Midlands
£70,000 + car, bonus, private pension and holidays
