As the Head of Logistics Engineering and Development you'll have a key role in leading all solutions design, engineering and automation projects within my client's automotive division.

Leading 3PL Provider
As Head of Logistics Engineering and Development you will work closely with the site's operational team to design and deliver cutting edge value add solutions as well as driving for continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan aiming to enhance efficiency, standards, and outstanding performance throughout the contract.
- Establish and lead a motivated team that focuses on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Take the lead in creating logistics solutions on-site that are innovative, scalable, cost-effective, and align with both client requirements and the company's overall strategic goals.
- Continuously seek opportunities to implement standardised solutions that drive value, reduce costs, and improve service, while also sharing best practices across the division.
- Actively explore and incorporate new technologies, automation, and digital applications to enhance both existing and proposed solutions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting team performance, project status, and key performance indicators.
- Experienced logistics professional with a strong background in third party logistics operating in a senior capacity within Solutions Design, Logistics Engineering or CI
- Solid track record of designing and implementing highly efficient, innovative, and streamlined solutions
- Expertise in implementing Automation Solutions as part of overall solution design
- Preferably possess automotive industry experience
- Quick learner with the ability to simplify complex challenges and information into actionable steps
- Successful track record of implementing and transforming programs
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP EWM to optimise its capabilities and address limitations
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse and operational process flow, layout, and design
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring colleagues at all levels
- Able to influence and motivate others to enhance the customer experience
- Experience in a stakeholder and customer-focused environment
- Familiarity with performance management methods, such as SLAs and KPIs
- In-depth understanding of financials and commercial contracts in the logistics industry
- Driven and has the potential to advance to a senior role within the division and potentially join the leadership team.
