We're working with a large organisation based on the outskirts of Cambridge as they look for a Head of Management Accounts, managing a small team.
This is a hands on role and reports to the Group Finance Director where you'll be taking ownership of the annual budget, prepare monthly accounts and reports with associated commentary for senior management, look at process improvements and mentor/ develop the skills of current team members.
As part of a cohesive and collaborative environment you will work with the wider organisation to build the rolling 5 year budget, looking at previous trends, current market knowledge and potential growth- this would be done in close proximity to the Group Finance Director allowing some excellent exposure to senior management.
You'll be identifying areas of improvement, suggesting ways to implement new ways of working to ensure a collaborative approach across the wider company.
The successful applicant will be qualified (ACA/ACA/CIMA) with prior experience in a management/ commercial accounting role preferably in the public sector/ housing. You'll have strong communication skills, previous management experience and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
