It is expected that all Maintenance Engineer will possess proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations within an automated warehouse environment.
- Ensuring operational and up to date maintenance of high volume automated machinery and equipment.
- Timely response to breakdowns of production equipment in accordance with the production hours.
- Ensure records of all maintenance work, defect repair and on site spares are up to date.
- Assist in the supervision and control of all site based mechanical and electrical operations.
- Engage and manage contractors including obtaining/providing permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.
- Adhere to strict Health and Safety policies.
- Assist/manage depot projects.
- Provide technical training where required.
The successful candiate of the Maintenance Engineer in Staffordshire would have the following.
- Educated to GCSE level C or above in Maths and English
- Level 3 qualification in mechanical, electrical or engineering
- Programmable Logic Controllers Qualification
- Health and Safety Qualification
- BS7671 18th Edition
- Experience working with Continuous Improvement methodology i.e. Lean, Six Sigma,5S
- Understanding of H&S policy and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
