We are recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to manage building and production maintenance teams and provide maintenance support.
This job is a combination of being 60% hands on maintenance activities and 40% line management, with duties including:-
- Day to day responsibility for the maintenance of systems, facilities and production equipment
- Planning and undertaking routine scheduled maintenance work (TPM) for machinery and building systems
- Management of the system and work allocation
- Ensuring all machinery breakdowns are responded to and resolved in a timely manner
- Work with external vendors to manage service contracts as well as reactive maintenance work
- Support Managers with facilities, machinery improvements and projects
- Develop and coach direct reports and the wider business to enable operator led maintenance of machinery
- Provide reporting to senior management on key maintenance performance metrics
- Run daily tier meetings with the maintenance team and attend other tier meetings to report on maintenance activity
- Document all maintenance processes and procedures through SOP's and ensure complete and up to date documentation on all equipment and systems
- Undertake duty fire marshal role as required and be responsible for weekly fire equipment checks
If you have the following skills and experience, we would like to hear from you:-
- Previous experience in a hands on facilities or production maintenance role is essential
- Mechanical or electrical background holding a suitable qualification at HNC or equivalent level
- The ability to demonstrate sound decision-making and work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Ability to demonstrate a background in people management
- Have a systematic and structured approach to problem solving
- Current knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
Desirable skills and experience include:-
- Prior experience working with TPM
- Understanding of Mechanical Assembly, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Understanding of building M&E systems
