My client based in Birmingham is seeking a Management Accountant to support the finance team in providing accurate and timely financial information
My client is a high growth PE backed services company based in Birmingham, that operate in key sectors that support the community.
As Management Accountant reporting to the Finance Director you will:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Produce weekly sales reports, staff utilisation reports and aged debt reports
- Prepare weekly and monthly payroll for processing
- Prepare weekly supplier payments
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast and provide explanations
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Conduct detailed analysis of costs, identifying trends and areas of potential savings or efficiency improvements
- Use Excel to an advanced level to make reporting more efficient
The most desirable applicant for this Management Accountant role will:
- Have demonstrable experience within a Management Accountant role
- Hold a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Have proven experience in management accounting or a similar finance role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel (PivotTable's, IF Functions etc.)
Upto £50,000 plus benefits and hybrid working (2/3 days in the Birmingham office)
