My client is a rapidly growing, dynamic e-commerce retailer with an annual turnover of £100 million and a global presence. The group encompasses multiple brands, each excelling in different areas of the retail industry. This diversity allows them to provide solutions catering to various sectors such as construction, logistics, retail and hospitality.
With offices, teams, and production facilities across the UK, Europe and Asia, they are the driving force behind a number of renowned brands. Their commitment to brand development and sustainable growth has positioned them as a leader in their industry.
As part of their future strategic plans, my client is establishing a brand new division and is currently seeking an exceptional Managing Director to spearhead this division. The successful candidate will be tasked with leveraging current achievements and exploring opportunities for new growth, making a substantial impact on the organisation's future.
As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for strategic planning and setting ambitious goals across all functional areas. You will oversee a high-performing senior leadership team, defining roles and fostering a culture of agility and excellence. Building and nurturing strong internal and external relationships will be crucial. Additionally, you will establish a positive network with major customers, engage with industry institutions, and enhance the organisation's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a similar senior leadership role.
- Deep understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven track record in developing strategic and business plans.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
- Experience of working in Retail, Wholesale or e-Commerce is advantageous.
