A key role of Manufacturing Operator within a busy production team has become available within an established company in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
There are two fixed shift patterns for this role:
Monday to Thursday 6.00am - 2.30pm
Friday 6.00am - 1.00pm
The starting salary for this role is £12.35 per hour.
Monday to Thursday 2.25pm - 10.55pm
Friday 12.55pm - 7.55pm
The starting salary for this role is £12.35 per hour plus 15% shift premium payment.

The role will be to produce high tolerance components, operate a wide range of equipment and seek to identify opportunities for product and production improvement.

Duties include:
- Working as part of a team to complete scheduled manufacturing targets
- Operate a wide range of precision industrial machinery
- Work to high levels of attention to detail
- Record accurate technical measurements and readings
- Complete paperwork and accurately record product status
- Problem solve to improve quality and performance
- Participate in all training to interlink department experience and knowledge
The ideal candidate for the role will have:
- Experience of working within a manufacturing or production environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to identify problems and offer solutions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of hands-on practical skill
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good level of Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow SOP's and understanding of technical drawings
- Awareness of LEAN Manufacturing
- Understanding of Tooling, jigs, fixtures, precision machining and scientific assembly (desirable)
