Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

EA First are working with a fantastic food manufacturing business in Derbyshire who are currently on the lookout for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
Our maintenance team plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of our equipment, maintaining high standards, and minimizing breakdowns, thus guaranteeing the delivery of superior quality and service.
Role: As a part of our team, you will contribute to the seamless operation of equipment and machinery by conducting routine maintenance and repairs. Your role involves working on small projects aimed at enhancing production facilities and reducing breakdown incidents. Improving overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes is a key aspect of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing site maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to minimize breakdowns in a cost-effective manner.
- Diagnosing and resolving breakdown issues while prioritizing responses.
- Maintaining fixtures, fittings, and equipment to agreed standards.
- Assisting in the procurement of fixtures, fittings, and other necessary items.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements across the site and reporting any issues to the Manager.
- Being on standby for call-out arrangements as per departmental procedures.
- Supervising on-site contractors to ensure compliance with Fairfax Meadow policies on Food Safety and Health & Safety.
- Adhering to Company Policies on Food Safety and Health & Safety during all duties on the site.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Qualified in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines, preferably time-served.
- Proficient in 3-phase motors, chains/belts/drives, gearboxes, power distribution, and control circuitry.
- Background in food production (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience working with PLC's
