My client is looking to their team based in England (Midlands) an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to support in driving change across multiple sites within the Midlands.

My client is a Global 3PL Provider that works across a number of industries.

The key responsibilities of the Operational Excellence Manager based in the England (Midlands) are including but not limited to the following.

  • Spearhead and execute continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting operational efficiency and fostering colleague proficiency in leveraging company methodologies and tools.
  • Achieve quantifiable and validated cost savings through the implementation of OpEx and Digital solutions.
  • Engage in knowledge exchange and embrace best practices across the Logistics division and broader organisational framework.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to ensure consistent application of Group OpEx & Digital standards, as evidenced by the Group's internal audit evaluations.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide for peers and promising talents, nurturing a robust succession pipeline.
  • Provide support and guidance to operational leaders in their pursuit of personal development accreditation, with a particular emphasis on OpEx components where relevant.

The successful candidate for the Operational Excellence Manager based in England (Midland) will have the following characteristics, skills and experience.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving Operational Excellence through data analysis, or similar expertise in delivering OpEx/Lean/CI initiatives and results.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and mentor teams effectively.
  • Strong aptitude for influencing both internal and external stakeholders across various organisational levels.
  • Exceptional communication abilities encompassing verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Eagerness to delve deeper into Industry 4.0 technologies and integrate digital solutions into relevant operational domains and processes.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Established as a logical thinker with adeptness in comprehending and interpreting data.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety standards.
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working with and implementing digital capabilities. (Desirable)
