My client is looking to bring to their team based in England (Midlands) an Operational Excellence Specialist to support in driving change across multiple sites within the Midlands.

My client is a Global 3PL Provider that works across a number of industry sectors.

The key responsibilities of the Operational Excellence Specialist based in England (Midlands) are including but not limited to the following.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting various projects focused on process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Reporting directly to management, you will play a key role in analysing existing work-flows, identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and monitoring progress. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  2. Lead change projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to time lines and objectives.
  3. Utilise Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other continuous improvement tools to drive change and foster a culture of operational excellence.
  4. Provide regular updates to management on project progression, including key milestones, challenges, and successes.
  5. Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  6. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate staff on new processes and best practices.
  7. Act as a liaison between management and front line employees to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in operational excellence.

The successful candidate of the Operational Excellence Specialist based in England (Midlands) will possess the following experience, skills and characteristics.

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field. (Open to Recent Graduates)
  2. 1-3 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.
  3. Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to drive decision-making.
  4. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other process improvement frameworks preferred.
  5. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time lines, and deliver results.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence others without direct authority.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  9. Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and methodologies as needed.
  10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
