We are assisting a Multi-Academy Trust to recruit an Operations Director in Birmingham. This role is paying £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus Local Government Pension Scheme.

A growing Multi-Academy Trust that has built an outstanding reputation for excellence in Education. The Trust is centred around the core principle of developing their people.

Operations Director:

  • Provide strategic leadership to Compliance, ICT and Facilities.
  • Line management of an IT Manager, Facilities Manager and Operations Officer.
  • Have a broad understanding of Operations across a multi-site Trust, inclusive of Heath & Safety, Governance and Contracts.
  • Ensure the Trust is compliant with all statutory and regularity requirements.
  • Attend Trustee, Board and Sub-Committee meetings.
  • Maintain the Trust's Risk Register.
  • Strategic oversight of compliance with all non-finance aspects of the Academy Trust Handbook.
  • Assist the CEO to ensure the Trust meets their Educational aims.

Operations Director:

  • Degree or equivalent qualified.
  • Ideally you will have Project Management qualifications.
  • A background working in a School or Academy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Academy Trust Handbook requirements is desirable.
  • A track record of managing high performing teams.
  • Previous knowledge and oversight of operations across a school setting.
  • Broad experience of Operational Management across IT, Facilities, Compliance, Health & Safety and Contracts.
  • Ability to evidence attending regular Board or Trustee meetings.
  • Strong experience of strategic planning and managing budgets.
  • Good knowledge of the funding, regulatory and legislative environment of academies.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
  • A willingness to influence and manage change.

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum.

Local Government Pension Scheme.

25 days annual leave, 1 well-being day, plus 8 bank holidays.

Birmingham City Centre Office Base.
