We're recruiting for a proactive, improvement driven, Operations Manager to join a fast growing, Cambridge based business.

Working closely with the senior management team, the Operations Manager will:-

  • Provide support with general office planning, resource data analysis, spreadsheet production and ensuring the smooth operational running of the office and company premises.
  • Assist with improving performance and processes, procuring materials and resources and securing compliance.

Reporting to the Operations Director, within this broad job role, main responsibilities will include:

  • Support all operations functions such as creating weekly resource planning and analysis reports
  • Liaise with the Health & Safety consultant, and be responsible for the day-to-day H&S requirements and maintenance of up to date records
  • Coordinate activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements
  • Responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of daily operations
  • Communicate with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times on operational projects are met
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and reviewing of project workload and resource requirements to make sure business targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
  • Manage asset control
  • Provide administration support to the Operations Director
  • Create and maintain quality processes and procedures
  • Drive implementation of a new documentation management system
  • Identify and implement tools and/or processes for resource planning, quality document organisation, internal communication, document management and release procedures

You will be organised with good attention to detail, have solid experience in operations and implementation, ideally in an engineering or technology environment, be self-motivated and proactive.

The following experience would be useful but not essential:

  • Experience of researching and recommending new systems/tools/processes is desirable
  • Ability to extract a simple process from a complex system and present it with clarity
  • Experience within a tech or engineering environment preferable
  • Previous exposure to H&S would be an advantage
  • Ability to work proactively to assist colleagues and spot areas for improvement
