This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Cambridge based organisation in a newly created, standalone HR Manager role.

With a broad range of HR tasks, projects and strategy along with the chance to make the role your own and offer new ideas, the HR Manager will add a new layer of HR presence, visibility and be central to ensuring the smooth running of the HR function.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Implement the company's overall HR strategy including building career paths, benefits review, salary benchmarking, attracting and retaining staff
  • Annual performance appraisal process
  • Manage the end to end hiring process, including contract management
  • Owner of the employee management system
  • Develop company values and culture, explain to the team and be the champion
  • Manage and act on staff surveys
  • Be point of contact for all staff for HR matters
  • Help develop future HR strategy
  • Manage Visa and Sponsorship application processes for overseas staff
  • Review and manage staff training needs
  • Management of key policies and maintenance of staff handbook

In this small business, we're looking for someone who's happy to work autonomously and creatively, offering pro-active HR solutions and driving the culture and growth of the organisation.

You'll be self-motivated and ideally come from a fast-paced environment where you've been able to have the freedom to implement your own ideas.

Experience in a similar level role along with being ideally CIPD qualified would be desirable.
