Our client, a leading Logistics and Warehousing company based in Coalville, is looking for a Project Management Office Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, an innovative approach, and experience working in a warehouse operation.

The key responsibilities for the Project Management Office Assistant based in Coalville are as follows.

  • Establishing and maintaining fundamental project plans to enable effective planning and scheduling.
  • Creating schedules and performing capacity planning for projects, forming a comprehensive program-wide delivery plan.
  • Ensuring compliance with planning and tracking standards for projects. Providing project status updates to the Project Manager and generating project performance reports.
  • Developing and overseeing project RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions), taking the lead on identified risk areas, and escalating as necessary. Following up on required actions for addressing Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions.
  • Monitoring lessons learned, ensuring all have actions/plans in place and are progressing correctly by the relevant owners.
  • Managing PMO processes (risk, issue, budget, change), including ensuring that all actions/plans are progressing correctly by the relevant owners.
  • Tracking and consolidating status reports to provide an overall status view to leadership.
  • Creating diverse documents and presentations to assist leadership meetings.
  • Serving as the point of contact for project teams and communications, engaging with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing the change log and following up on actions required to complete Change Requests.

The successful candidate for the PMO Assistant position will have the following experience, skills and qualifications.

  • Previous background in a PMO role or project management.
  • Familiarity with Project Management and PMO policies, processes, procedures, methodologies, and toolsets.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management.
  • Substantial experience in PMO and/or project management.
  • Proficiency in project management, which involves defining time lines, task prioritisation, and team member assignments for various project deliverables.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including MS Projects.
  • Adaptability and comfort in fast-paced work environments.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated individual, adept at multitasking, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
