Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of logistics operations within the assigned area, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of operations supervisors and staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the region.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
Customer Relations:
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the region.
Supply Chain Optimisation:
- Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement.
- Implement best practices and technologies to optimise the supply chain and reduce lead times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners.
Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

The ideal candidate for the role of a Regional Operations Manager based in Nottingham will have the following experience, skill set and characteristics.
- Possession of the International CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) for Transport Managers.
- Proven expertise in transportation and warehouse management, preferably within a third-party logistics context.
- Robust operational background, showcasing a history of successfully overseeing intricate logistics operations.
- Profound understanding of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated capability to efficiently manage budgets, exercise cost control, and achieve financial objectives.
