My client are looking for an experienced Site Operations Manager to join their team based in Southampton.

My client are a leading 3PL Provider within the UK, who are looking to bring a Site Operations Manager on board to join their team based in Southampton.

The key responsibilities of the Site Operations Manager based in Southamton are including but not limited to the following.

  • Manage overall site operations ensuring seamless logistics services execution.
  • Monitor and analyse operational metrics to identify improvement areas.
  • Implement strategies to optimise resource utilisation, minimise costs, and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all operational facets.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify inefficiencies and develop action plans.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Create SOPs for consistency and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to operational staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer development opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage projects aimed at enhancing operational processes and infrastructure.
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders.

The successful candidate of the Site Operations Manager based in Southampton with have the following experience, skills and characteristics.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Desirable)
  • Proven experience in operations management within the logistics or supply chain industry, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in documentation and process mapping, with experience in developing SOPs and best practice guidelines.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS) is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

£50,000
