The successful candidate for the System Development Administrator based in Cumbria will have the following responsibilities.

  • Implement software applications, systems, and databases that align with business goals and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage databases, including schema design, indexing, querying, and optimisation for optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, debugging code, analysing logs, and implementing fixes to ensure uninterrupted system operation.
  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and implement improvements or new features.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on system functionality, usage, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose and implement innovative solutions.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard systems, applications, and data against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage version control and documentation for software development projects, including release notes and user manuals.

The successful candidate for the Systems Development Administrator will have the following skills and characteristics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be preferable.
  • Nutritional knowledge and interest in product development.
  • Previous experience with SAP or Oracle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality code and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
