My client a global logistics distribution and supply chain company is seeking a Tender Manager to be based at least 1 or 2 days per week in the Northampton office.
My client whose central office is in Northampton, are a global logistics distribution and supply chain company with air, sea as well as road freight / logistics services.
As Tender Manager reporting to the Senior Tender Manager you will lead the tender process from opportunity identification to proposal submission. You will:
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end tender process
- Coordinate with various internal departments including sales, solution design, operations, legal and finance to ensure all dimensions of a tender are met
- Engage with suppliers to secure favourable terms
- Be the lead for negotiations through the tender processes
- Drive effective bid responses that challenge solutions, IT and costs to arrive at a bid that best meets the customer needs
- Create a comprehensive suite of bid documents
The most desirable applicant for Tender Manager will:
- Have demonstrable experience from a logistics distribution and supply chain (desirable) or at least a solutions focused environment
- Be able to work from the Northampton office at least twice per week
- Has had a clear track record of being customer facing
- Possess analytical skills, high level accuracy and attention to detail
Up to £65,000 plus car allowance (or electric / hybrid salary sacrifice scheme) and up to 10% bonus.
(This role is hybrid, with 3 days at a company site and 2 days remote)
