We are currently supporting a Not-for-Profit organisation in Coventry to recruit a Transactional Finance Manager. The role is offering up to £45,000 per annum, plus hybrid working.

Our Not-for-Profit client in Coventry has been in service for almost 35 years. They pride themselves on excellent fundraising, advocacy and research. We have had the pleasure of recruiting for this organisation before and can evidence that they have been with the business between 5 and 10 years. Within this time they have developed and secured promotions within the team.

Transactional Finance Manager:

  • Oversee Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Cashbook functions for the Trust and Subsidiaries, ensuring that tight financial controls are maintained throughout the organisation.
  • Line manage the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Financial Accounts Supervisor and the Sales Ledger Assistant.
  • Monitor compliance and raise concerns promptly with relevant staff or within the Fraud referral process as and when required.
  • Provide designated support for the Purchase Ordering systems and ensure that there is sufficient cover for the Epos and Payments systems tasks the team is responsible for, including the delivery of training. Contribute to systems and processes improvements in own area of responsibility.
  • Maintain internal stakeholder relationships
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual statutory accounts for the organisation within agreed deadlines and monitor the completion of key ledger reconciliations.
  • Respond to internal and external queries.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Financial Accountant or Financial Controller.

Transactional Finance Manager:

  • Qualification preferred - e.g. ACCA/ACA/ACMA (including those working towards) - PQ and QBE will be considered.
  • At least 3 years' working within a finance transactional environment.
  • Overseeing a Finance Team is critical to this role, you will oversee a team of 8.
  • Ability to manage a team both within the office and over video/telephone is important.
  • Proven examples liaising with key stakeholders and influencing change is desirable.
  • Strong experience of using complex computerised financial systems and confident with the manipulation of data in MS Excel
