A reputable Tax Advisory and Accountancy Firm is currently seeking an experienced VAT specialist to join their team in a senior capacity. This role offers a competitive package, flexible working arrangements, autonomy, and the opportunity to play an integral role in the firm's VAT practice.

This role involves working with a diverse range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, family-owned enterprises, charities, and educational institutions. The firm prides itself on delivering personalised service and being a trusted adviser to its clients, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and diligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the VAT practice, working closely with a team of Part Qualified and Qualified TAX advisers.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the firm to identify opportunities for growth and enhancement of VAT services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on VAT matters, ensuring compliance and offering strategic insights.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand the firm's client base and revenue streams.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

The ideal candidate will either be a experienced Senior VAT Adviser looking for a new challenge or a skilled Manager capable of developing and maximising the firm's VAT practice.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant VAT experience within an accountancy practice.
  • CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • A passion for problem-solving and innovation, with a proactive approach to creating solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
