My client is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team in W. Yorkshire.

My client is a leading international 3PL company.

The Warehouse Operations Manager position based in W. Yorkshire is suitable for operations managers from a warehouse/supply chain background who have sound experience of overseeing a warehouse function on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and planning daily distribution requirements.
  • Responsible for the whole distribution facility, identifying ways in which you are able to improve processes.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, and also ensure that all environmental risks are kept to a minimum.
  • Contributing to the evaluation and development operational strategy and performance measures.
  • Managing a team of staff which includes recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching employees.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage.
  • Manage warehouse operations by stock control, inventory management, and motivating employees.
  • Develop warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems.
  • Think and plan strategically in order to improve upon the operation of the Warehouse so that it can offer a better service.
  • Ensure company assets in the warehouse are controlled and accounted for at all times.
  • Effectively manage and lead the team through change.

The successful candidate of the Warehouse Operations Manager in W. Yorkshire will match the following skills and characteristics.

  • Proven successful experience in a manufacturing, logistics team management role.
  • Significant systems experience and a working knowledge of computerised inventory management systems
  • Demonstrable track record of managing large scale change.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Diplomatic and able to negotiate solutions calmly and effectively
  • A leader that can inspire those around them- Encourage the growth, development and suggestions of those work within your team
  • Someone with a keen eye for detail and a quality led approach.
  • A good communicator with the ability to partner with and influence others.
